14/08 - 19/08 FAIR OF BENAHAVIS

The next wensday the 14th of August will start the celebrations in honor of the patron saint, the Virgen del Rosario.

In the tradition and style of Andalusian fairs. Local authorities inaugurated the fair with an institutional dinner, a parade and lighting of the fairgrounds. Then begins the opening speech by a popular character and is crowned the queens and ladies.

The second day children's games and other activities take place and 1.00 pm is given the green light to the fair day in which both benahavileños and visitors enliven the hours with dances, typical dishes and tapas.

All this for 5 days and always around August 15, considered the big day, which comes out in procession to the Virgen del Rosario.
