As is tradition, the year opens with the Festival de Teatro de Málaga, which, in this year that enters 2018, is its 35th edition. An edition that focuses on the Malaga scene, since 40% of the works presented are local, as well like 7 of the 8 premieres that are given in the festival.

The 35th Malaga Theater Festival 2018 brings a total of 74 performances and 42 montages between January 7 and February 11, 2018.

The Malaga Theater Festival brings interpreters such as Rocío Molina, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Juan Echanove and Pepón Nieto to the capital, and companies such as La Fura dels Baus, Lavievel, Yllana and the National Drama Center, among others.
